Last year local winery, Casino Mine Ranch, Chef Kevin O’Connor, and event designers Host Creative combined forces and created a culinary experience for the books. The dinner itself took place on the Mill Street Pier in The Bridge District. Guests were invited to join a pre-dinner cocktail hour on the River Walk in front of public art piece, Subtile, and then guided to walk the riverfront towards the Pier, where they were met with a long farm-style table, greeted by Chef Kevin and his team to break bread together, family-style.
Music was provided by long-time friend of The Bridge District, DJ Lady Char, who curated the vibes of the evening through thoughtful tunes.
Drinks were flowing all night, allowing guests to try many varietals of Casino Mine Ranch wines, which were carefully paired with each course of the meal. The cocktail hour offered a refreshing wine cocktail which was perfect for the last bit of heat from the Summery day.
Chef Kevin served up a delicious offering of in-season and local seafood, meats, and produce while playing with unique flavors and pairings, creating a truly remarkable culinary experience.
The evening ended with a professional harpist surprising guests with an intimate performance on the pier while Oak Roasted Pear, Sorghum Elderberry Flan, and Candied Walnuts were paired with a Late Harvest wine.
