The Bridge District Map, Lily Therens, 2019

If you haven’t fallen in love with Lily Therens and her incredible work yet, then you probably haven’t had a chance to meet her. She is as delightful as her illustrations. We’ve been fangirls of Lily’s for a while, so when we needed a playful piece of art that celebrated all things TBD we knew just who to go to. She graciously accepted our challenge of illustrating a map of our area and we handed her creative freedom to give us her talented take. And, she nailed it. With the help of Jeremy Stanger, she painted The Bridge District community with an artistic twist! Lily’s new mural is on display in The Foundry’s front lobby. If you look closely you might even find some inside jokes woven into the artwork – hint: look for the gentleman in the bowtie – the Mayor himself is in the piece, along with many other hidden treasures.
